ABOUT US

Unlike a number of other service providers TICA was designed from the ground up by real estate agents for real estate agents. The TICA national tenant database has grown over the years to be the largest tenant database in Australia with over 5 million records gathered from over 6,000 members.

After a career in real estate of spanning over twenty years the director of TICA identified the need to establish TICA’s national tenant database and its default tenancy control system that united property managers from around the country.

Dedication by the management team of TICA in the beginning was of paramount importance as it was only selling a dream. With no data but a unmatched default tenancy control system it set out to unite property managers a task that had never been undertaken before on a national level.

Acceptance by the property management industry was exceptional but TICA had a problem with man power as it needed to operate some 16 hours a day on rotating shifts and all inquiries were processed by phone with hands on operators.

Computerisation played a vital part in the growth and development of the company with new database programs being available in the mid 90’s allowing TICA to process inquiries quicker. In the mid to late 90’s internet usage was building momentum and allowed TICA to develop its system so it was live on the net thus providing 24/7 real time access to its membership.

As a result of TICA launching its service on the internet it experienced unprecedented growth and catapulted TICA and its national tenancy database and default tenancy control system into the limelight of the media. TICA quickly grew into the market leader and was invited by many franchise and marketing groups as guest speakers. From this the company entered into the property management training area where it developed a number of risk management procedures that members use to this day.

In early 2000 TICA with the call from members for it to be a one stop shop launched its Landlord Insurance Policy in association with St George Underwriting Agency and Allianz Australia as the underwriter. This part of the company has enjoyed a growth and has been placed well with TICA’s goal of being there for its members with what we believe is one of the best policies available on the market.

In dealing with TICA you are comforted knowing that TICA will always be there for its members and is dedicated to the property management industry. We look forward to having you as part of our membership of over 6,000 who share in over 5 million tenant records on TICA’s national tenant database and benefit from its default tenancy control system.
