HISTORY OF TICA


With the origins of TICA dating back to 1992 it developed quickly from a dream to reality. The first idea and design was by a former Sydney based real estate agent that commenced a property management career in the 70's. He identified the need to create a service that would enable property managers around the country to have their own specialised tenancy database when the industry lost the ability to access credit information.

On a tight budget and only a dream to promote, TICA traveled state by state throughout the country holding promotional venues for property managers. They discovered that whilst they were not the first to have a database they were the first with a full default tenancy control system and the first to have the scope to launch the system nationally.

When first launched in 1992 criticism flowed about TICA's ability to deliver what TICA said it would with some skeptics making statements such as TICA would be a six month wonder and claiming the industry would not accept the system.

We are pleased to prove those people so wrong. Within a few years of the launch of TICA it had a name for itself as a true property managers support service. Now with thousands of members covering every state and territory throughout Australia TICA is firmly entrenched as the market leaders. Processing over 90,000 tenant inquiries per month.
